NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A real-life Grinch was arrested Wednesday in Nashville.
Metro police reported a 57-year-old woman stole nearly $2,500 in Grinch Christmas decorations from two Home Depot locations last month.
According to court documents, Frances Peele took only Grinch-themed decor during three instances over a period of 11 days from Nov. 6 through Nov. 17. On a fourth trip, she reportedly took cleaning supplies valued at $417.
Investigators believe Peele stole an estimated $2,907 in merchandise. Officers reportedly identified Peele by her distinctive green Dodge Caravan.
Peele was booked into the Metro jail and charged with felony theft and driving on a revoked license. She was released on a $12,500 bond.
