WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Several Williamson County agencies responded to a chimney fire Thursday afternoon.
In a Facebook post, Williamson County Fire Rescue said they responded to a call on Hillview Lane shortly before 2 p.m. Franklin Fire units helped due to proximity to the city. Arrington Fire, Williamson County EMA and Williamson Health EMS also responded to the scene.
Multiple tankers were requested at the scene because the hydrant was located down the road.
When units first arrived on scene, they saw smoke coming from the eaves as well as fire on the first floor. The post noted the fire was mostly contained to the first floor and the attic, though the basement also received some damage.
Two people were reportedly treated on-scene for minor smoke inhalation. Additionally, one firefighter received minor injuries during the overhaul process.
