RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — After a multi-day search, U.S. Marshals arrested a suspect who was wanted in connection with the shooting of a 4-year-old boy in Rutherford County.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said 19-year-old Taliek Gallishaw King was taken into custody in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, Feb. 25. King was wanted on charges for evidence tampering and reckless endangerment related to Saturday’s shooting involving the child.
Officials said deputies found the 4-year-old boy with a gunshot wound early Saturday morning at a home along Tessa Grace Road. The child was brought to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive.
As of publication, King is being held on a $60,000 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
For this case, he is scheduled to be seen in General Sessions Court on May 22. Authorities with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office told News 2 more charges are pending in another county.
