GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — U.S. Marshals arrested a man in Gallatin, who was reportedly wanted out of Georgia on multiple felony charges and had several outstanding warrants across Middle Tennessee.
A warrant was issued for 27-year-old Darzell Thaddeus Wester on June 14, 2024, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. He had been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Wester also had outstanding warrants from Coffee, Robertson and Dickerson Counties in Tennessee for driving under the influence of alcohol, larceny and fraud respectively.
On Nov. 15, 2024, the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia requested assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Service Southeast Regional Task Force with locating and arresting Wester. Upon investigation, the U.S. Marshal’s Service discovered Wester was staying in the Gallatin area and worked with the Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force to locate him.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force found Wester at a residence on Turner Way in Gallatin and arrested him without incident. Wester was booked into the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office jail as a fugitive from justice. As of publication, he awaits extradition to Georgia.
