CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A member of the Coopertown Police Department was injured in a crash in Cheatham County Wednesday afternoon, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
A preliminary crash report from THP said just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, a red 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling east along Highway 49, heading toward the intersection of Highway 41A. A 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe from the Coopertown Police Department was heading west along Highway 49 toward the same intersection.

Coopertown Police Chief Tyler Haley told News 2 the officer involved in the crash was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and has already been released. He added that the incident was not weather-related.
According to THP, charges are pending for the driver of the Dodge Ram 1500. Both drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
