NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A teenager was arrested Tuesday in connection with a robbery at Fifth Third Bank Northlake Village in January, and another suspect remains wanted by authorities.
According to court documents, 18-year-old Jaylan Smith is accused of entering the bank in the 5000 block of Old Hickory Boulevard on Jan. 29 with another individual, believed to be Andrew Holsapple.
Reports said one of the suspects stood by the door while the other handed an employee a clipboard with a note attached “demanding money or they would hurt people.”
Following the robbery, Metro police reportedly received tips regarding the suspect’s identities and residences. Officers obtained video footage from an apartment complex in Hermitage where Holsapple was allegedly seen leaving the apartment before the robbery and returning afterward.
Officials used fingerprint data from the scene, which returned as a match for Smith.
Metro police obtained robbery warrants for both suspects, however, Holsapple has not been taken into custody. Anyone seeing Holsapple is asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
Smith is being held in Metro jail on a $75,000 bond and charged with felony robbery.
