PUTNAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A special agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has been placed on paid leave after police arrested him for domestic assault in Putnam County.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported that Harold Eaton was arrested by officers with the Cookeville Police Department (CPD) Sunday, Jan. 26.
Eaton was reportedly charged with domestic assault and was booked into jail just after 9:30 p.m. Officials added that he was being held on a $1,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on March 10.
According to the TBI, Eaton has since been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation, which will be conducted by the CPD and TBI.
