NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department SWAT team reportedly negotiated a peaceful surrender in Donelson overnight.
Officials said the incident in the 2700 block of Riverbend Drive on Sunday night began with a welfare check. A man reportedly answered the door with a rifle, causing officers to retreat.
MNPD said a gunshot was heard, prompting a SWAT response.
After negotiating with officers, around 3 a.m. Monday, the man surrendered without resistance. No one was injured in the incident.
Metro police said the man did have outstanding warrants. No additional information was immediately released.
