ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities in Robertson County are searching for a “dangerous” suspect after a man was found dead during a welfare check.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) said deputies were sent to Fisher Grove Road in Greenbrier on Tuesday, Feb. 4 to conduct a welfare check.

At the residence, officials reportedly found a deceased man. Deputies said a preliminary investigation indicates that a “domestic situation” occurred between a stepdad and stepson.
The sheriff’s office announced they are searching for Jimmy Anthony Cox for his connection to the incident.
He is believed to be traveling on foot and is described as 6’1″, 175 pounds with blue eyes and bald. Deputies added he was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and black shorts.
According to the RCSO, Cox is “considered dangerous” and anyone who spots him should immediately call 911.
Robertson County Director of Schools said schools in the Greenbrier area are on a soft lockdown ahead of 2:40 p.m. dismissal.
The director also told News 2 school buses are not allowed to run on Fisher, Smiley Hollow or Greenbrier Roads, adding that parents can pick up their children from school. Otherwise, bus riders will be held at school until the search for Cox concludes.
