RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Rutherford County authorities are seeking assistance from the public after discovering a burned vehicle at a boat ramp.
In a Tuesday press release, Rutherford County officials said a Jeep Grand Cherokee was discovered by a deputy with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office while on routine patrol Sunday, Feb. 9. The vehicle had been apparently burned and left at the Mona boat ramp on West Jefferson Pike in Murfreesboro.

Rutherford County officials told News 2 the vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of Smyrna on Feb. 9. It is unknown how long the vehicle was at the Mona boat ramp.
The Fire Marshal’s Office responded and initiated an investigation. Anyone with information about the vehicle has been asked to call the Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office at 615-907-3600. You can also call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017.
Authorities added a reward of up to $5,000 is available for information that leads to the identification of those responsible.
