GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Goodlettsville fire officials were able to put out a fire at a house under renovation Monday thanks to an observant 7-year-old.
The fire happened Monday afternoon; officials said 7-year-old Jackson Andrews saw smoke coming from a house on East Cynthia Drive. Andrews immediately ran to wake up his sleeping grandfather and call for help.
“I was trying to look into my mailbox for something and I saw the house was smoking,” Andrews said. “…I kind of want to go inside and see what happened.”
The family who owned the house is safe, though fire officials are still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
