NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — One of Nashville’s “Most Wanted” fugitives accused of a slew of crimes has been taken into custody after nearly three weeks on the run.
Whitney Warren, 37, was wanted for a number of charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, multiple car thefts, child endangerment and theft of firearm, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).
Records show the charges against her stem from separate incidents — both of which happened earlier this year.
According to authorities, officers responded to a Shell gas station in the 500 block of Franklin Pike just after 11 p.m. on Jan. 23 after a man reported his vehicle was stolen while he was inside the store.
The man reportedly told officers he left his Nissan Armada running and unlocked with the keys in his pocket when he went into the store. He said he then saw Warren leave the store, get into his vehicle and drive away at a high rate of speed.

Officials said the victim’s wife and another woman — who were waiting in a vehicle parked beside the Nissan — saw Warren get into the man’s car before driving off, prompting the women to pursue the vehicle down Interstate 65.
As the women continued to follow the stolen Nissan along I-65, Warren reportedly took a Glock handgun that was inside the vehicle and fired at them before “ramming” into their vehicle. This led the women to stop the pursuit and return to the Shell gas station where the victim was waiting on police, reports said.
According to an arrest report, Warren continued to drive the stolen vehicle until she crashed on Nolensville Pike, which is where she fled with the victim’s gun and a Gucci purse.
Court documents show the day after the Brentwood vehicle theft, Warren left her 3-month-old baby with a man, drove off in his vehicle without permission and did not return. His vehicle was later recovered at Old Hickory Boulevard and I-65.
Warren evaded law enforcement for weeks until she was arrested on Feb. 10. She is being held in Metro jail on a $232,100 bond.
