NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — No injuries were reported as crews with the Nashville Fire Department (NFD) battled both icy conditions and a fire at a tire and repair shop on Nolensville Pike.
According to NFD, a command was set up at the shop in the 3600 block of Nolensville Road shortly after 9 a.m. for a call of a commercial fire.
Fire officials told News 2 crews reported they could see smoke as they were en route to from the fire station. When they arrived on scene, they found the tire shop with heavy smoke showing.
Crews then made an interior attack, but the smoke traveled up into the attic areas of the building.
Icy conditions made the attack more precarious, according to NFD, as the area outside was covered in ice. Crews requested a TDOT truck to provide salt, a spokesperson with NFD told News 2.
Fire investigators remain on the scene, NFD said.
