FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Several fire departments responded to a house fire Friday that affected multiple people, including a firefighter, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office, joined by the Estill Springs Police Department, responded to the fire call around 3:30 p.m., according to a social media post from the agency. First responders with the Estill Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Capitol Hill Volunteer Fire Department and the Decherd Fire Department also arrived at the scene.

Police said a person was trapped inside the house, but several firefighters were able to use a ladder to extricate the unconscious victim through a window. They were transported to Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital, though their condition is not known at this time. Another person, described by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office as a juvenile, was able to exit the home before it was engulfed by flames.
Additionally, a firefighter was injured when the floor of the house collapsed. They were transported to Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester and their condition is not known at this time.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office thanked responding agencies for their assistance on the call. No further details were released.
