HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Crews have closed a section of Interstate 40 in Humphreys County due to a four-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) SmartWay map, the incident was reported shortly before 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 at mile marker 138 on I-40 West. As a result, the westbound lanes are closed until further notice.

A TDOT spokesperson said the four-vehicle crash happened inside a TDOT work zone, adding that there “is a current queue of 5 miles.”
Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.
No additional details have been released about this incident, including whether anyone was injured.
