MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Mt. Juliet Police Department (MJPD) utilized Guardian Shield license plate recognition (LPR) technology in the arrest of a vehicle theft suspect wanted out of Cannon County.
According to a Friday social media post, the MJPD said LPR technology alerted officers about a 2018 Nissan Altima originally stolen out of Millersville. Officers were able to intercept the Nissan as it traveled into Mt. Juliet and onto Interstate 40 West.
The driver was a 52-year-old wanted for vehicle theft out of Cannon County and was taken into custody, the MJPD added.
