MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officers with the Mt. Juliet Police Department continue to engage in Operation Safe Shopper, and on Friday, they made more arrests.
An undercover detective saw a vehicle with an expired, false license plate on Pleasant Grove Road; an investigation revealed a 52-year-old Mt. Juliet man in the vehicle was in possession of half an ounce of methamphetamine. Additionally, the man was driving on an indefinitely revoked license, according to a social media post from the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
Later, officers said an officer stopped another vehicle for non-functional brake lights. During the stop, it was found that the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle had shoplifted from JCPenney.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department added in a social media post that the stolen merchandise was able to be returned to the store.
