MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Mt. Juliet police utilized license plate reader (LPR) technology and found a woman in possession of methamphetamine and “over $110 worth of meat,” according to a social media post.
Authorities said the LPR technology alerted them to a vehicle to a license plate that was allegedly stolen out of Williamson County on Dec. 23. Police said the offender “was actively shoplifting” at a grocery store on S. Mt. Juliet Road.
Upon further investigation, Mt. Juliet officers discovered a 48-year-old Nashville woman who reportedly confessed to stealing meat from area stores over multiple dates.
“She shoplifted over $110 worth of meat during her most recent visit and was found in possession of methamphetamine,” a social media post from the Mt. Juliet Police Department reads, in part. “She and her boyfriend reportedly sell stolen meat for profit in Nashville.”
The post added the woman faces multiple charges, including multiple counts of shoplifting, possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
