NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 17-year-old has been charged with multiple counts of attempted criminal homicide by a Juvenile Court after Nashville authorities said he wounded his two younger sisters.
The 17-year-old reportedly opened fire on a vehicle in Antioch Park at about 5 a.m. Wednesday, wounding his 12- and 13-year-old sisters in the process, though their wounds were not critical.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the first call originated from TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center when the sisters arrived by private vehicle. The 17-year-old arrived at Southern Hills Medical Center after learning his sisters had been wounded.
He reportedly admitted to authorities that he shot at the car, saying he thought it had been involved in multiple area vehicle burglaries. He also told police he did not know his sisters were in the car, and a preliminary investigation showed seven people were inside the vehicle when shots were fired.
The investigation is ongoing, Metro police added.
