NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 16-year-old is facing charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at a victim during a robbery attempt Monday night, police said.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the incident took place at an apartment complex on Zermatt Avenue.
Authorities reported the victim said a suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded his car keys. He added that the suspect was also wearing a ski mask and fled after the robbery attempt was unsuccessful, police said.
Officials identified the suspect as 16-year-old Jabari Thomas. Midtown Hills Precinct officers reportedly took Thomas into custody after a brief foot chase.
The MNPD said a handgun was found along the path where Thomas ran. The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery, among other charges.
No other information was released.
