NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was shot by burglary suspects after he confronted them while they were attempting to break into a vehicle in the Whites Creek area Wednesday night.
The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. on Del Sol Drive.
The victim was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where he is said to have critical but non-life threatening injuries.
According to Metro police, the victim and his wife were in bed when he heard someone outside his home pulling on vehicle door handles. The victim opened a window to confront the suspects when at least one person opened fire toward the home
The man was shot through the window while the suspects left the area.
No additional information was immediately released.
