NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police said a man critically injured in a North Nashville shooting this weekend has died.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said 29-year-old Jonathan T. Keith of Nashville died after sustaining a gunshot wound Sunday morning. Detectives had determined Keith was involved in an argument with an acquaintance, during which he was shot.
The suspect then reportedly dragged Keith outside and allegedly attempted to clean up the crime scene. Authorities told News 2 Sunday morning that several people were detained in connection with the shooting. In a later press release, the MNPD added the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
MNPD added detectives with the homicide unit have continued to pursue strong leads as they work to identify the suspect.
