NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Brentwood man was arrested Monday after he reportedly admitted to making multiple threats to attack a federal building in Downtown Nashville.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said Alexander F. Thompson, 35, was charged with felony terrorism and felony false reporting following an investigation by the MNPD Specialized Investigation Division.
According to authorities, late Sunday evening, Thompson allegedly made several threats through emails and social media posts stating his intent to “firebomb” the Fred D. Thompson U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building within the next two weeks.
All accounts were reportedly identified as belonging to Thompson, and he was arrested at his workplace in Goodlettsville.

Metro police said Thompson admitted to making the threats and stated his intent to carry out the attacks. He remains in Metro jail on a $100,000 bond. The investigation is still ongoing.
