NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 23-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday after he was accused of stalking women at a Bellevue gym for several weeks.
Women at Burn Boot Camp on Highway 70 began reporting a man in the parking lot on Feb. 14, 2025.
According to court documents, the man sat in a parked car and watched female employees and customers go in and out of the gym in a manner that made them fear for their safety. The women told investigators they were afraid of being hurt or kidnapped.
The suspect would park close to the gym and stay for long periods of time while no other business in the strip mall was open.
Metro police reported he once followed once woman home onto Interstate 40 where she swerved off an exit to get away. In another incident, officers were called to the gym while the suspect was there but he drove off once police arrived.
The suspect was charged with three misdemeanor stalking charges. He remain in the Metro jail on a $15,000 bond.
