NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been arrested more than two weeks after a deadly shooting outside a market in East Nashville.
The Metro Nashville Police Department reported the incident took place on Sunday, Feb. 2 in the parking lot of the Z-Mart convenience store in the 800 block of Dickerson Pike.
According to detectives, a preliminary investigation indicates that 35-year-old Ivorie Lee and 38-year-old William Montez Hall met at the market to discuss money that Hall allegedly owed Lee.
At some point during the discussion, Lee punched Hall in the face, which led to Hall pulling out a gun and shooting Lee.
Police reported Lee was taken to Skyline Medical Center, where he then died shortly after arriving.
Hall was taken into custody on Monday, Feb. 17, and charged with unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon.
Booking records show he is being held in Metro Jail on a $80,000 bond. No additional details were released.
