After this extremely frigid start, high temperatures Wednesday will rebound to the middle 20s to low 30s. Most spots will stay below freezing, meaning Middle Tennessee will have exceeded 96 hours below freezing for many areas (ending Thursday afternoon). Temperatures in the 40s will arrive on Thursday.
Flurries to snow showers are possible Friday. A thaw is expected Saturday with highs in the upper 40s.
Then, more precipitation moves in on Sunday morning. This may start as a wintry mix, changing to rain by Sunday afternoon.
