CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — Kentucky State Police (KSP) is trying to track down an inmate from the Christian County Detention Center who reportedly escaped.
According to a statement provided to News 2 on Saturday, Dec. 28, the detention center called KSP Post 2 shortly after 3:15 p.m. about an escaped inmate.
KSP said the preliminary investigation indicates Kevin D. Johnson, 52, of Madisonville, walked away from a work detail at The Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.
Authorities described Johnson as 6-feet 2-inches tall and 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was reportedly last seen wearing khaki pants and a black shirt.

No additional details have been released about Johnson or his escape, which is under investigation.
