NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — For the third year in a row, the Johnny Cash Museum has been voted the “Best Music Museum” in the 2025 USA Today/10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards.
Johnny Cash is one of the best-selling artists of all time with more than 90 million records sold worldwide. The “Man in Black,” who would have turned 93 years old on Feb. 26, is known for his classic tunes such as “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Ring of Fire,” and “I Walk the Line.”
Among the many museums nominated for the award, the Johnny Cash Museum came out on top following weeks of public voting.
“The museum is packed with historic memorabilia including costumes, gold and platinum records, handwritten song lyrics and even a piece of the wall from the home he shared with his wife, June,” wrote USA Today.
The museum to social media to express their appreciation for the record-breaking distinctions, marking the only time a music museum has won the award three consecutive years in a row.

The Johnny Cash Museum wasn’t the only museum in Music City to make the list. In fact, the Country Music Hall of Fame came in at No. 4 on the list. Meanwhile, the Patsy Cline Museum, also in Nashville, came in at No. 9.
