SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities arrested an Indiana man on multiple murder charges Monday after officers conducted a welfare check on a Spring Hill home.
Lieutenant Michael Foster with the Spring Hill Police Department (SHPD) said at about 6 a.m., the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) asked the SHPD to conduct a welfare check because of a phone call received by their dispatch. SHPD officers conducted the check at a house in the 2000 block of Gale Lane in Spring Hill and found a 30-year-old woman had sustained fatal wounds.
Authorities with the RCSO arrested the person who placed the phone call — 29-year-old Vidol Wegner of Indiana — on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony murder. Foster added Wegner was in a relationship with the 30-year-old woman, who was pregnant at the time of her death.
SHPD authorities went to Robertson County and transported Wegner to the Maury County Jail.
