NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Investigators say a fire that sparked at a South Nashville home Friday morning has been determined to be “incendiary.”
Crews with the Nashville Fire Department (NFD) were sent to the 200 block of Garwood Drive just after 12:30 a.m. to respond to reports of a residential fire.
When crews arrived to the home, they reportedly observed light smoke coming from the crawlspace.
Officials said an interior attack was made and firefighters found the fire in the basement area, which had also spread throughout the home to the attic. As a result, the response to the fire was upgraded to a “2nd-alarm response.”
