NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man convicted of several felonies is back behind bars following an attempted traffic stop that led to a drug and gun bust in Davidson County.
According to court documents, officers arrested Deangelo Miller, 30, after a brief pursuit Tuesday. Detectives reportedly observed Miller get into a vehicle and drive away, despite having a suspended driver’s license.
As detectives attempted to perform a traffic stop, Miller allegedly continued to drive away before getting out of his vehicle and running from authorities. As he ran, he reportedly threw a black bag on the ground. He was eventually placed under arrest and his belongings were searched.
Inside the bag, officers found measuring spoons, a digital scale with residue and individual baggies of cocaine, fentanyl, M30 pills, meth and Xanax, totaling 132.7 grams, per an arrest report.
During a search of Miller’s vehicle, officers reportedly found a Glock 22 between the driver’s seat and center console.
Officials said Miller has been convicted multiple times of violent felony offenses in Tennessee.
According to Davidson County Jail records, Miller was charged with four counts of felony drug possession, felony evading arrest in a motor vehicle, two felony counts of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession, misdemeanor evading arrest and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.
He is being held at Metro Jail on a $137,500 bond.
