MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — A family has been displaced after a house caught fire early Tuesday morning in Murfreesboro, officials said.
Rutherford County Fire and Rescue said crews were sent to the home around 3 a.m. on Compton Road.

When they arrived, heavy fire was reportedly coming from the roof of the home. Officials said firefighters “worked quickly to bring the blaze under control.”
According to fire officials, the homeowners were inside at the time of the fire but were able to safely escape.
Several agencies, including Murfreesboro Fire Rescue, Rutherford County Emergency Management Medical Services and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, all responded to the home to conduct an investigation.
Investigators from the Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office reportedly determined that the blaze was accidental.
The American Red Cross is providing support to the displaced residents. No additional information was released.
