JOELTON, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was shot Sunday night while driving along I-24 in the Joelton area, officials said.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said the man was shot in the left buttock while driving in the westbound lanes.
After the incident, he reportedly pulled off the interstate at Whites Creek Pike. Officials said he was then taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
It remains unclear what led to shots being fired. No additional details about Sunday night’s incident have been released.
