CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Interstate 24 is closed in Cheatham County after a crash early Friday morning.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes near mile marker 29 around 2:30 a.m.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported at least one person was killed in the crash.
Detours have been set up to route traffic around the crash scene. Motorists should exit at mile marker 31, which is New Hope Road, and take 41A north to Highway 49W. You can re-enter I24 westbound at the 24-mile marker.
The roadway is not expected to reopen until 10 a.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
