DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Remains discovered in DeKalb County Saturday have been identified as Brittany Miller, a 31-year-old woman who went missing more than two years ago.
The body was reportedly found off Man Hill Road just after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Two hunters made the discovery in a wooded area of the Snow Hill community.
Miller “vanished from her home” along Hurricane Ridge Road on July 4, 2022 and there have been multiple search efforts ever since. Multiple agencies searched using a grid system, drones and helicopters and boats on the water.
Miller’s body was identified through dental records. Sheriff Ray said her case now becomes a death investigation led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
“We are not disclosing how the body was found or the cause of death due to the sensitive nature of the investigation,” said Sheriff Ray.
Miller’s cause of death has not been released.
