Timberloft Barbeque suffered a “devastating” fire, the Smith County sheriff told News 2. The Gordonsville Fire Department, Carthage Fire Department and the South Carthage Fire Department all responded to the scene; no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is unclear, the sheriff added. What is clear, though, is how much Timberland Barbeque meant to anyone in the area.
“Timberloft was more than a restaurant — it was home to 28 years of memories, friendships, and hard work,” the restaurant said in a post to their official Facebook page. “ur hearts are with our incredible staff, past and present, and everyone who ever walked through those doors. There are no words for how deeply sad we are today.”
No additional information was immediately released.
