RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A portion of Interstate 24 in Rutherford County has been closed for hours following a multi-vehicle crash that reportedly involved a semi-truck.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) Smartway Map, the crash was reported just after 11 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Waldron Road on Wednesday, March 12.

As of 4 a.m. Thursday morning, the westbound lanes between Smyrna and La Vergne remain closed. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes.
It remains unclear when the interstate is expected to fully reopen. No additional details were immediately released.
