CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Frito-Lay North America “has chosen to expand its operations in Clarksville, Tennessee,” according to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board.
In addition to the distribution center currently located on Tylertown Road, the company has purchased an eight-acre site in the South Industrial Park off Corporate Parkway Boulevard.
“The Industrial Development Board is committed to helping Clarksville’s existing industries. The Frito-Lay expansion keeps all 43 jobs local to Montgomery County and provides the company with room to grow,” executive director of the Clarksville-Montgomery Industrial Development Board, Josh Ward, said.
The new site will allow Frito-Lay to expand distribution capabilities from 10,000 square feet to 19,000 square feet. The expansion represents a $27 million investment into the community.
News 2 has reached out to Frito-Lay for comment, but as of publication, there has been no response.
