BEDFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two dump truck operators died following a head-on collision in Bedford County over the weekend.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, just after 1 p.m. Saturday, a Kenworth T80 dump truck operated by 46-year-old Dante Guel was traveling northbound on Highway 437, and a Western Star Dump Truck operated by 24-year-old Marcue Johnson was traveling southbound.

Reports said Johnson’s truck crossed the center line and hit the other dump truck head-on. The truck operated by Guel reportedly lost its cargo and overturned before catching fire.
The truck operated by Johnson drove off the left side of the road into a ditch, where it tipped onto its side and caught on fire.
According to reports, Guel was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, and it is unknown if Johnson was wearing a seatbelt.
Both operators were pronounced dead following the crash.
