NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tuesday’s significant wind event caused damage, power outages and wildfires across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
The highest wind gusts reported were between 50-60 mph in Middle Tennessee Tuesday evening.

Coffee County
- Tullahoma Regional Airport — 44 mph at 7:55 p.m.
Cumberland County
- Crossville Memorial Airport — 60 mph at 9:52 p.m.
- Crossville City Hall — 57 mph at 9:30 p.m.
Davidson County
- Nashville International Airport — 59 mph at 6:40 p.m.
- Nashville John Tune Airport — 46 mph at 6:50 p.m.
- Nashville — 40 mph at 7:20 p.m.
Marshall County
- Lewisburg Fire Tower — 42 mph at 7:06 p.m.
Maury County
- Columbia Airport — 48 mph at 6:15 p.m.
- Mount Pleasant — 41 mph at 3:45 p.m.
Montgomery County
- Clarksville — 50 mph at 7:10 p.m.

Overton County
- Cookeville — 55 mph at 9:10 p.m.
Robertson County
- Springfield Airport — 49 mph at 7:15 p.m.
Rutherford County
- Readyville — 51 mph at 9:13 p.m.
- Smyrna Airport — 45 mph at 9:55 p.m.
Warren County
- McMinnville Airport — 46 mph at 9:14 p.m.
White County
- Sparta-Cookeville Airport — 51 mph at 9:55 p.m.
- Sparta — 44 mph at 9:00 p.m.
Wilson County
- Watertown — 46 mph at 9:47 p.m.
Preliminary damage reports from the National Weather Service Nashville indicated many trees down in Lawrence County including Summertown, Ethridge and St. Joseph. Some of those trees took powerlines down with them, the NWS added.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect for all of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky until 6 p.m. Wednesday. Gusts today will be between 30-45 mph with isolated higher gusts.
The wind gusts will remain stout all day Wednesday. Those using high-profile vehicles while on north to south roads will experience southwest to west winds, which could cause travel impacts.
