FLOYD COUNTY, KY (WOWK) — A twenty-fourth death from the Kentucky flooding that occurred last month was confirmed by Governor Andy Beshear in a thread on X Monday evening.

Gov. Beshear said in one post that a Floyd County man died and that his death was related to floodwater. Beshear asked that people join him in praying for the affected family at this time.
Previously in the thread, Beshear announced that three counties were approved for Individual and Public Assistance: Estill, Simpson and Johnson Counties. Those looking to apply can visit the Disaster Assistance website or call 800-621-3362.
