NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in the Priest Lake area Sunday morning.
The fire was reported Sunday at 8:20 a.m. in the 500 block of Bluewater Drive.
NFD told News 2 the blaze appeared to have started in the fireplace and spread to the attic. Crews reportedly extended 1,200 feet of hose to access a water supply due to the absence of nearby fire hydrants.

Officials said the homeowner attempted to put the fire out on their own, but later had to be rescued by firefighters. First responders treated the homeowner for smoke inhalation, and their condition is unknown at this time.
No additional information on the cause of the fire was immediately released.
