NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman is dead after a crash involving a single vehicle early Sunday morning near Nashville International Airport, according to Metro police.
Officials said around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, the woman was driving a Nissan Murano southbound on Glastonbury Road at high speeds when the car ran off the right side of the road, striking a culvert and brick wall at Southwood Park Place.
Metro police said the driver was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the woman. MNPD said a toxicology report will be conducted to assess whether impairment contributed to the crash.
