NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man who just made his debut on the Metro Nashville Police Department’s (MNPD) “Most Wanted” fugitives list this week for a road rage incident has been apprehended.
According to police, just before Thanksgiving, officers responded to a reported aggravated assault that occurred on Interstate 40 West near exit 209. The victims reported to police a man driving a black truck became upset when the victims merged in front of him, and he subsequently positioned his vehicle directly next to theirs and allegedly pointed a gun at them.
A police affidavit states the victims rapidly decelerated to avoid further conflict with the man but took a picture of the vehicle to get their plate number and vehicle description for authorities.
The victims described the man as a bald white man about 50 years old, according to police. A photo lineup subsequently identified the man as Rodney Musgraves.
Musgraves is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as both victims saw the gun he reportedly pointed at them. The incident also landed Musgraves on the MNPD’s “Most Wanted” fugitives list on Feb. 25, 2025.
The Class C felony carries a maximum punishment of up to 15 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine, if convicted.
