HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Humphreys County Fire Department advised that an active fire would be “burning throughout the night” Thursday.
On Thursday afternoon, the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office posted images of a fire burning in the Paint Rock area, adding Bakerville Road at Paint Rock was closed for the time being.
Later Thursday, the Humphreys County Fire Department provided an update on the blaze and said the fire was still active. Crews have worked to reopen Bakerville Road for traffic.
At 8 p.m., the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office reported the fire “is believed to be contained” and that the area near Bakerville and Paint Rock Road had reopened.
“Forestry is monitoring the situation,” a Facebook post reads, in part.
