DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Members of multiple agencies are working together to investigate an early morning blaze that broke out at a church in Dickson County.
Tennessee City Fire Rescue (TCFR) said it responded to a report of a structure fire at Friendship Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 22.
When personnel arrived at the scene, they discovered a good Samaritan who was passing by had reportedly stopped and removed the benches that were on fire at the church’s front entrance.

TCFR fire marshals, the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Fire Division are teaming up to look into the incident, according to officials.
If you passed through the area by the church between midnight and 2 a.m. on Saturday and saw anything, you’re asked to call the Tennessee Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017 — which could earn you a cash reward of up to $5,000 — or Dickson County dispatch at 615-446-8041.
No additional details have been released about the ongoing investigation into Saturday morning’s fire.
