NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) announced an additional arrest in a drug-related robbery last month.
Authorities said the incident happened at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Brentridge Circle on Jan. 31 when 21-year-old Yanathan Furline went to buy marijuana from a 23-year-old woman. At some point, Furline allegedly pointed a gun at the woman and shot her; Furline was arrested on Feb. 5 and faces multiple charges related to the case.
The MNPD added in a Friday press release 22-year-old Alexus McCord was found to have driven Furline to the apartment complex. Police added it was clear “McCord played a vital role” that night. She was charged with the facilitation of attempted homicide, especially aggravated robbery, felony weapon possession, reckless endangerment and marijuana possession.
She was taken into custody by detectives with the MNPD’s TITANS Unit at her home. As of publication, McCord is jailed in lieu of an $81,000 bond.
