NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Could your child be featured in a movie? A film set to begin shooting in Nashville this year has launched a casting call for young actors.
The casting office for the sequel to “I Can Only Imagine” put out a call for boy actors aged 2 to 9 to audition for a role in the movie.
“I Can Only Imagine 2” follows the story of Bart Millard, played by John Michael Finley, and the band MERCY ME.
According to the casting notice, crews are searching for “southern, everyday kids for speaking roles,” who will play Millard’s sons in the movie.
The three roles are described as followed:
- Sam: 4-6 years old, white; A brave boy with a lot of imagination. Loves comics and music, and faces trials with courage.
- Charlie: 8-9 years, white; Full of energy and loves life.
- Miles: 2 years old, white; Secure and never met a stranger (identical twins will be considered).
The movie stars Dennis Quad, Trace Adkins, Milo Ventimiglia and John Michael Finley. Filming for the movie is scheduled to start April 7 in Nashville.

Kids who have an interest in acting and recreating history are encouraged to attend the open call on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 5121 Maryland Way, Suite 100 in Brentwood.
