NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) have continued efforts to find a shopper who was robbed last week at the Mall at Green Hills.
In a post to X Wednesday, the MNPD identified the shopper robbed of his merchandise in the parking lot of the Mall at Green hills on Feb. 4 as 31-year-old Genesis Denton. The MNPD added in a press release that Denton fled the mall parking lot in a rented Volvo SUV after he was confronted and robbed at gunpoint.

Court documents said Omari Moore, 30, was the alleged robber. Moore was charged with aggravated robbery and unlawful possession by a convicted felon by the MNPD. On Wednesday, a judge ruled for Moore’s case to be bound over to the Davidson County grand jury. The U.S. Justice Department also charged Moore with being a felon in possession of a firearm as part of a shooting incident in connection with last week’s incident.
Following the robbery, Moore fled the mall parking lot in a Tesla sedan driven by 30-year-old Emmanuel Easley, who police said was shot after driving away. Easley lost control of the car and crashed into a tree off the Interstate 65 north entrance ramp from Interstate 440; he died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The MNPD said they hope to ask Denton “a number of questions” about last week’s events. Anyone who knows Denton’s whereabouts, or who sees Denton, has been asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at (615) 742-7463. You may remain anonymous.
