The NFD told News 2 crews were dispatched to the 2900 block of Clay Lick Road and found a home “fully involved” by the time they arrived on scene.
A preliminary investigation showed the fire started in the garage, spreading throughout the home and to an extension as well as the roof.
Three adults, three children and several pets were affected, the NFD added. Authorities said the Red Cross was called to the scene to help those impacted. Fire investigators were called to begin the process.
Nobody was injured as a result of the fire, though nine cats were reported missing.
